IME Electric, the sole authorised distributor of Raft electric Scooters in Nepal, has added a new dealer in Maharajgunj - Garima Auto Concern. The dealer was jointly inaugurated by the Director of Nepal Electricity Authority, Kulman Ghising, as well as by Chandra Prasad Dhakal, Chairman of IME Group and Senior Vice-President of FNCCI.
Speaking to media persons at the launch, Kumlan Ghishing, said “Electric vehicles are getting more and more popular in Nepal. Nepal imports billions of fuel from neighboring countries, hence, the use of electric vehicles will help in reducing fuel imports and promote the use of locally produced electricity. I am very delighted that IME Group is promoting electric vehicles. And, I wish IME and Garima all the best for the business growth."
Similarly, Chandra Prasad Dhakal, added, “We welcome Garima Auto to our ever-expanding network and wish them the best of luck. IME Electric aims to be a leader in e-mobility and wish to be people's first choice when it comes to driving new energy vehicle. Raft two-wheeler which was introduced in October’22 is already getting popular in Nepal. We have already sold over 100 units of them within just three months. We are not only selling the product but also contributing to the national economy by reducing petrol imports and helping to keep the environment clean."
Commenting on the same, Dan Rana, MD of Garima Auto, pointed that “I am very proud to connect as a business partner with IME Group and pleased to serve the eco-friendly electric two-wheelers to customers."
As per the company, Raft electric scooter can run approximately 800 km for the cost of a liter of petrol saving up to Rs. 250,000 within 3 years recovering almost the full cost of the scooter.
